At MSS-Ortiz Electrical Services, we bring over 70 years of combined experience to our customers and clients around Durham. But more than just years of experience, we also bring honesty, integrity, and a dedication to customer service. These values ensure that we provide the best possible experience to our customers which is why we refuse to on them and make sure that every member of the team takes them seriously.
Dallas Swain
Dallas brings over 50 years of electrical experience to MSS – Ortiz. He holds an unlimited electrical license and was a member of the Electrical Union, where he worked on several large-scale and high-visibility projects, including the World Trade Centers. Throughout his career, he’s provided the electrical contracting services for multiple custom-built homes, apartment units and numerous commercial jobs. He currently plans the initiation and daily inspection of company jobs.
Daniel Ortiz
When he joined our team in June of 2016, Daniel brought 20 years of multi-family construction experience to MSS – Ortiz. Over the course of his career, he has supervised the construction of over 4000 apartment units. Daniel oversees our projects, material orders and manages the day to day organization of our site crews.
Melissa Filzen
For over 15 years, Melissa has managed the accounts, including collections and payroll for the company. Melissa received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Allied Health from St. Andrews Presbyterian College in 1995.
Matthew Filzen
Matthew joined the company in 2017 after 12 years of managing offices and teams within the financial services industry. He oversees the business operations of the company and is responsible for the growth and efficiency of the company. Matthew received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from the Citadel in 2005.
